● Communications Manager
Katie Bryan is the communications manager at the Aspen Institute Financial Security Program where she manages overall communications strategy and tactics for FSP with a focus on digital content. Prior to joining the FSP team, Katie served as the Communications Director for the Consumer Federation of America (CFA) where she led strategic communications for America Saves, a research-based national social marketing campaign that encourages American to save money and reduce debt. In this role, Katie managed social media, websites, media relations, and America Saves Week – an annual event involving over 1,300 organizations. Before that, Katie served as the Senior Communications Specialist at the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) and handled many of the association’s websites and social networking functions. In her five years at CHPA, Bryan worked closely on initiatives both of the CHPA Educational Foundation to promote the safe use of over-the-counter medicines and the StopMedicineAbuse.org effort to prevent medicine abuse. Katie has a Master’s degree in Communications with a concentration in digital technologies from Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C.
